My skills in technical writing display the unique ability to translate highly technical ideas, instructions, observations, and views into easy-to-understand documents.
Blind Spot Monitors
This technical information document was written to describe blind spots clearly and simply, why they pose a danger to motorists, and what a blind spot monitoring system is. It includes diagrams and visual elements to educate the target audience on something technical they may be unfamiliar with. I conducted research that I then consolidated into this 2-page document with visuals.
Bank of America unemployment CARDHOLDER WEBSITE SUPPORT
The instructional document was written for Bank of America’s at-home customer service agents that specifically provided service to Covid-19 unemployment cardholders. It is an enhanced guide with step-by-step screenshot visuals. Due to the various channels of communication involved, a large amount of focus was given to ensuring access to the information via the web or on a mobile device.
My advanced knowledge in English writing and grammar combined with my vision for design provides me with an editorial edge of objectivity, persistence, and thoroughness that enhances user experience.
Azure Midstream Point to Point Procedures
I comprehensively edited and collaboratively wrote a live procedural workplace document for a natural gas company located in Houston. It outlines specific procedures that are to be followed and notes the responsible parties that will be involved when completing the Point to Point verification. This document remains in use.
Utah Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug Laws
The Utah Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug Laws document was comprehensively edited using chunking & layering techniques and ensures scannability. The original document is bland and unscannable, with no relevant visuals or organizing of information. What I instead created is a memorable presentation that is arranged systematically.
